CLIMATE ACTION

Climate change is our generation's existential challenge. Climate change's effects—rising sea levels, severe weather and natural disasters, new cycles of flooding and drought, and economic disruption, to name a few—disproportionately affect the most vulnerable people and those least willing to adjust to the changes due to human activities. These are the groups least responsible for climate change and least capable of adapting to its consequences.
At the national and international levels, action and policy changes are needed to address global warming and climate change. Individuals, families, and neighborhoods, on the other hand, play a critical role. People in the big emitting countries should change their daily habits and take steps to reduce their carbon footprint. Fishermen, growers, and other resource users in developing countries should follow climate-friendly practices to reduce their effect on nature-based climate change solutions.
Climate change necessitates a shift in actions. And transition is something Rare excels at.
-Individual actions will help to reduce pollution while also paving the way for larger-scale climate action.
-Make It Personal meets people where they are to help them embrace climate-friendly behaviors.
-Fish Forever encourages anglers to abandon harmful fishing activities that harm or ruin natural climate solutions such as coral reefs and mangrove forests.
-Lands for Life teaches farmers how to reduce their environmental effects.
-The Center for Behavior & the Environment educates environmental professionals in Behavior-Centered Design so that their practice has a greater global impact.
People and nature's resilience are being created.
Investing in people and nature as alternatives to this challenge increases climate change social, ecological, and economic resilience.
Fish Forever works with communities to conserve mangrove forests, which are essential for carbon capture, as well as coral reefs, which help communities cope with the effects of climate change.
Lands for Life equips farmers and agricultural societies with the skills, resources, and information they need to conserve one of nature's most essential carbon-capture tools: soil.
